The settlement of Urla which goes back to 3000 BC has embraced the Ionian, Byzantine, Aydinoglu, Ottoman and contemporary cultures as from the Archaic Period and accommodated their projections in its territories.

“Urla Sarapcilik Architectural Project”, was based on transferring the heritage of a culture whose winemaking tradition goes back to the Archaic Period and the traces of different cultures to the production plant. Transfer of the build-up taken from the past to the future generations was reflected on the mass in a symbolic language.

While the adventure which started with water met with soil and turned into crops and from crops to products, all the production process was solved without a pump in fluidity principle, considering the topography and climatic conditions.

In architecture, symbolic references as texture and form were blended with the rational expectations of the production, thus reaching the whole through natural solutions in the bosom of the nature.
